Ravenstein 36

Ravenstein 36

The project consists of the transformation and enhancement of the monumental Generali building built in 1935. The building is linked to the Ravenstein Galleries and its particular architecture has earned it a place on the inventory of architectural heritage.

The renovation of the upper floors is intended to bring them up to the new standards of comfort and energy efficiency while respecting the original architecture. The programme of works includes the replacement of the facade, the renewal of techniques and a contemporary modular layout of the office floors. This modernization requires complete dismantling down to the concrete level and envisages BREEAM Excellent certification.

The renovation of the basement consists of a structural transformation of the existing rehearsal hall of the National Orchestra of Belgium into a larger rehearsal hall identical to the Bozar concert hall opposite. The new hall will be more accessible, will have a superior acoustic quality including a foyer and boxes.
