The transformation and enhancement of the Generali building, a monumental building erected in 1935 and linked to the Galeries Ravenstein, is a major project. The architecture of this building is listed as architectural heritage, underlining its historical and cultural importance.
The above-ground renovation project aims to bring the building into line with new standards of comfort and energy efficiency, while preserving its original architecture. Replacing the façade in the same way is an important measure for preserving the aesthetics while modernising the techniques.
The basement renovation is a major structural transformation: the existing rehearsal room of the Belgian National Orchestra will be transformed into a more spacious rehearsal room, identical to the Bozar concert hall.
The offices will be fitted out in a modern, modular way to meet the needs of the occupants.
Finally, the project envisages BREEAM Excellent certification, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and environmental performance.

"This is my last day at GRE, and I'd like to thank you again for all the years we've worked together. It's been a great pleasure, and your professionalism has always been there and your human values always present.
I wish you every success with your projects and, above all, with 36 R, a very difficult operation, but one that I'm sure will be a real success.
