The new headquarters of the Brussels French-speaking Parliament is a mixed construction project. It comprises two distinct but complementary components:
The construction of a new office building and the renovation and conversion of a historic Renaissance-style building (1694). This heritage structure will be adapted for use as a multi-purpose space.
The entire project is five storeys high, and the basement acts as a link with the underground car park in the adjacent buildings.
Great importance has been attached to energy efficiency, with the aim of achieving near-passive energy efficiency. The design of an innovative voronoid double skin façade reflects this commitment.
